Together, we can humanely end pet overpopulation in Georgia by raising money to spay and neuter pets and ferals in our community while having fun.

Purchase your tickets and R.S.V.P today.

Don't miss out on your chance to help end overpopulation in Georgia.

Your $30.00 ticket will get you a wonderful time with friends old and new and includes food, beer, wine, margaritas, a dessert bar and a wonderful silent auction.

If you have an item to donate for our silent auction, please email snap@comcast.net.

Since our inception during May of 2009, SNAP-2 IT has spayed and neutered 330 cats and dogs.  We will forge on and continue our work with your continued support.

Microchips are a permanent method of identification and an ideal backup to your pet's identification tags and collar. While some pets seem to always lose their ID tags, the microchip will always be with them.

If your pet runs away from your home or gets lost while you're out on a walk, a microchip implant helps improve his odds of being reunited with you. The chip can help humane organizations reunite you and your pet more quickly, and it can also help you prove ownership of a companion animal if there is a dispute.

NEW DOG PARK! Marietta, GA - May, 22, 2010

Marietta Georgia is going to the dogs!

Come one, come all to the new dog park! The park is located at Wildwood Park on South Cobb Drive and Barclay. The park includes one area for small dogs and another area for us big guys!

This is the second dog park Marietta has opened. Marietta opened the first dog park in 2007 on a converted ball field in Lewis Park located on Campbell Street.

The grand opening of the park will be this Saturday, May 22 at 10 a.m.

Beauregard, the dachshund will be attending the event. Beauregard belongs to Councilwoman Annette Lewis. The 1.5 acres of dog park is within Ms. Lewis' ward.

The new park cost the city $25,000.00.

Also, you MUST clean up after your dog. If you do not clean up, you may face a fine of $500.00!

And, please bring water and bowls to this park as there are no facilities for getting water at the park.

That is my news for today. I'm off to the park!
