Atlanta Downtown Neighborhood Association "Critical Mutts" 6/26 @ 6:30 PM

From Fresh Loaf:

On Friday at 6:30 p.m., residents will gather at the corner of Piedmont Avenue and Renaissance Parkway — with leashed canines in tow — for “Critical Mutts.” If it sounds similar to “Critical Mass,” the monthly cycling event where velocipede lovers take to the streets en masse, it’s because it is.

Friday’s gathering will be a moment for SoNo residents to make their case for an off-leash dog park in the area. Drinks and a dog-friendly deck at Midtown Tavern will be enjoyed after the event.

Pet First Aid Class - DOGMA Dog Care; Smyrna, GA 6/28 11am-3pm

Why Should You Take A Pet First Aid Course?

There is no such thing as K-911. It is estimated that 60% of animal hospital visits are emergency in nature. Statistics show that preventable accidents are the leading cause of death among non-senior pets. 1 in 4 pets could be saved if just 1 first aid technique was applied prior to arriving at the vet. Knowing the skills and techniques of Pet First Aid can mean the difference between: Life and death, Temporary and permanent disability, Expensive veterinary bills and reasonable home care, Rapid recovery and long recuperation.
