Order today!       ADOPTER NEEDED    Over a month ago, we took in nine horses Chris Carroll saved from getting on a truck bound for slaughter. It was literally hours before they would have been dead.      Hope and Phoenix   This mare, we named Hope, was among the nine headed for slaughter only 24 hours before Chris stepped in. Hope is very thin, has some limited vision, and is about 25 years old. It was a huge surprise to learn that this mature mare was pregnant. We gave her good quality food and hay and hoped for the best for mare and foal. On May 7, the night Phoenix was born, volunteers were sleeping in the barn and ready to assist.   Although Phoenix weighed only 40 pounds, he is steadily growing and Hope takes good care of him. They both need a home together. Poor Hope has had some rough days in her life and needs a home with love and compassion. She is about 14 hands. Phoenix may only grow to be about 13-14 hands. We guarantee they will bring a smile to your heart!   Both Hope and Phoenix need gentle care and lives of joy. HORSES FOR ADOPTION   HRRRF rescues wonderful horses who have been neglected, abused, abandoned, or relinguished by their caregivers for various reasons. Some of these beautiful animals require sanctuary care, but many others are available for adoption. Please contact our adoption counselor to learn more about the horses who are ready for the companionship of a loving family. We are overflowing with horses so if you have a stall or pasture space, please consider helping one of these horses short or long term. Below are some of our many horses in need of homes.        Black Beauty is a 15-/+ racing or walking horse. Despite a missing eye, various cuts and abrasions, and being underweight, Beauty is still trusting and sweet. We don't know anything about her history, but a lucky adopter could offer her a bright future. While she waits for her new home, we will continue to work on her condition.     Ms. Trigger -- This Palomino mare came from North GA. She is about 3 or 4 years old, and has already had a baby that died. She was too young to breed. The owner didn't want her and he really didn't know how to treat her. She was terrified of humans when we picked her up last week. She has been enjoying nice human touches since she arrived. ...She will need a loving patient home. She needs ground work to learn to become a riding partner. Most of all she needs someone with patience and love.      Tommy is a 6 year old Buckskin. He was an orphan foal we saved from death 6 years ago. He was adopted to a loving home but with a full time job, the adopter had no time for Tommy anymore. He is now available for a new home again. He has been ridden about 10 times and loves it. He's had a lot of ground work, is very willing and sweet.       Cassie is a 5 year old Appaloosa mare. She's about 14.2 hands and is very sweet and willing to please. She'd make a great kids or ladies trail horse. She had some great ground work done while in a foster home and now she is ready for the trails. She is at our North GA farm.         Luke is a 5 year old QH gelding. He had a broken sesamoid bone which has healed well. He is now ready for gentle trail riding. He needs an experienced person. He is great to ride but he will get pushy if you are not acting like the leader in your relationship with him. He's is very handsome.       Lulu is a beautiful 23 year old mare who would love to be your trail horse. She was neglected for a time, but has come a long way, has gained weight and is very polite. LuLu is a gentle, sweet horse. Please find room in your heart for this girl.             Annie is an 18 month old Quarter horse mare. Although she is blind in her left eye, she is a normal horse in every other way. She was a"'Free to Good Home"' horse that went from one place to the next. No one bothered to work with her, take care of her eye, or love her because she had no value to them. She needs the right family and has lots of love to give. To anyone looking to adopt an animal. Paulding County Animal shelter will be closing May 28th for construction. All animals are being adopted out for $20 each. This includes shots, spay/neuter, and microchipping. All animals not adopted by May 28th will be euthanized. This is a great opportunity for anyone to give an animal a second chance on life.
